Some things don't translate. Not because the words don't exist — but because of the plurality of histories that made them, and the diversity of individuals who carry them.
Yun Hyejeong and Takashi Arai, two immigrants in Berlin, are going live to talk about East Asian history, colonial wounds, care, and solidarity.

Bio
Yun Hyejeong is an artist based in Berlin. Her work explores societal dynamics within hegemonic power structures through personal narratives. She analyzes social structures, creates allegorical connections, and deconstructs colonial myths through moving images, installations, and performances. Yun‘s practice engages her body, voice, language, and poetry to map political landscapes, focusing on intersectional identities, decolonization, and the collective memories of migration.
She is the founder of Heisse Maroni and a member of the Asian Feminist Studio for Art and Research (AFSAR)
Her work has been featured at international festivals, including the Asian American International Film Festival, New York City; European Media Art Festival, Osnabrück; Bali International Film Festival, Bali; Experimental Film and Video Festival, Seoul; and Film Festival for Women‘s rights, Seoul.
ユン・ヘジョンはベルリンを拠点とするアーティスト。個人的な物語を通じて、覇権的な権力構造内の社会的力学を探求するとともに、映像、インスタレーション、パフォーマンスを通じて社会構造を分析し、寓話的な関連性を創出しながら、植民地主義的神話を解体する。ユンの実践は身体、声、言語、詩を用い、交差するアイデンティティ、脱植民地化、移住の集合的記憶に焦点を当てながら政治的風景をマッピングする。
ユンはハイセ・マロニ・コレクティヴの創設者、アジア女性主義芸術研究スタジオ（AFSAR）のメンバー。
ユンの映像作品は、アジア系アメリカン国際映画祭（ニューヨーク市）、ヨーロッパ・メディアアート・フェスティバル（オスナブリュック）、バリ国際映画祭（バリ）、実験映画・ビデオフェスティバル（ソウル）、女性権利映画祭（ソウル）をはじめとする国際映画祭で上映されている。

The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the Trinity test and the U.S. atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
"To Hypocenter" is an interdisciplinary project initiated by an art collective of Japanese artists and curators.
Episode 0-1 is a series of public talks that freely discuss the various possibilities and issues of the project.
This edition of Bakushin Talk welcomes London-based artist Yoi Kawakubo, who will discuss the impossibility of representing
a bakushin/epicenter and why ‘the further you go to the center, the harder it is to see.’
The talk will cover a wide range of topics, including John Hershey's reportage of Hiroshima after the bombing
and G. Bataille's criticism of Hershey, J-L Nancy's ‘After Fukushima’, and the current exhibition at Maruki Gallery for the Hiroshima Panels.
